SUMMARY:Exhibit- Le Haut en Tableaux
DESCRIPTION:As of September 12\, you are invited to come and admire the works of three artists with intoxicating talents: Mr. John Ward\, Ms. Ginette Djinn Bertrand and Ms. Diane Dugal. \n  \nOriginally from England\, Mr. Ward believes that art is a cultural medium that will always have an important place in society. While he paints to please others\, he also paints for his own self-actualization\, having explored various styles throughout his career. With his undisputed drawing skills\, he can easily go from portrait to landscape or still life in one stroke of the pen! You will notice his inspirations from the greatest painters such as Van Gogh\, Cézanne or Isaac Levitan in his paintings that influence each other. \n  \nMs. Djinn\, on her side\, reveals a poetry of adventure. In these paintings you will see cracks of rock running through her works as if ephemeral nature was taking over a tender memory of travel. His paintings will transport you into an abstract reverie of international landscapes\, sometimes real and sometimes invented. Faces are drawn voluntarily or involuntarily from the gaps and stains left by the shadows created. The artist will certainly charm you with her paintings of infinite interpretations. \n  \nFinally\, Ms. Dugal uses her visibility as an artist to engage in conversation about environmental and ethical issues. With the skyrocketing use of plastic\, she reflects on the legacy we want to leave to future generations. Through both sculptures and paintings\, Ms. Dugal always manages to point to a discussion that needs to be debated. \n  \nIn short\, the new exhibition at the Cookshire-Eaton Art Gallery is a short detour to allow yourself a visit to the world. If you have a thirst for culture and exploration\, you’ll probably leave your visit in awe!
