I would like to know more about the Haut-Saint-François and obtain some informational brochures. Where can I find this information?

There are two tourist information bureaus in the Haut-Saint-François:

  • Town of East Angus, 200 Rue Saint-Jean Est, East Angus;
  • Rest area in Cookshire-Eaton, 25 Rue Principale Est, Cookshire-Eaton.
I would like to visit the Haut-Saint-François for a few days only. Are there any accommodations, besides rental cottages?

Yes, you can find accommodations in the Haut-Saint-François for a short visit. You can stay at the Pavillon des mésanges in Dudswell, which is an ideal spot for groups. There is also the Hôtel Sawyerville in Cookshire-Eaton. At Victoria Square in East Angus, you can rent a room or a studio with a contemporary decor.

Is there access to waterways in the region?

There is a boat launch in St-Gérard (Weedon), for motorboats, which provides access to Lac Aylmer.

If you have a kayak, you can go to the beach in Dudswell or to Walter MacKenzie Park in Scotstown.

In all cases, you should clean your boat or kayak prior to accessing a new waterway.

Are there any watercraft rentals?

You can rent a canoe, a kayak or a pedalboat in at Walter MacKenzie Park in Scotstown. There are also kayak and paddleboard rentals available at the P.E. Perreault beach in Dudswell.

I have an electric car. Are there any EV charging stations in the Haut-Saint-François?

Yes, you can charge your vehicle in East Angus, Saint-Isidore-de-Clifton and Weedon.

Is Foresta Lumina located in Cookshire-Eaton?

No, it’s in Coaticook, which is located approximately 40 km from Cookshire-Eaton.
