The property
Our farm’s story goes back to 1973, the year my parents purchased the property. Although they have lived here since 2002, this land has been tended by three generations of farmers. Cleared in the late 1800s, it was long used for logging and dairy production. Each year, a family garden rounded things out, helping the household remain self-sufficient.
In the early 1980s, my parents looked for a crop suited to our sandy soils, while avoiding competition with well-established regional productions, such as strawberries. That’s when they discovered asparagus—a vegetable that was still relatively unknown at the time. After extensive research and trials, the first asparagus was brought to market in 1987. Their goal? To offer a local, ultra-fresh product, straight from the farm to the table. Asparagus checked every box.
A breath of fresh air
In 2021, I planted a new asparagus field, carrying on the family legacy while bringing renewed energy to the farm. Eager to expand our offering, I introduced garlic and, at the same time, began a rigorous process to obtain organic certification with Ecocert Canada.
Our mission remains the same: to grow flavourful, fresh, organic, high-quality products. We also love sharing our passion and knowledge with curious visitors who want to learn more about local market gardening. And this is only the beginning—we’re working hard to develop new products that reflect who we are, rooted in our terroir and our history.
